DENVER — The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and seven Colorado companies will virtually attend the Arab Health trade show from June 21 to 24, 2021.
From state-of-the-art imaging equipment to the most cost-effective disposables; developments in surgery to advances in prosthetics, Arab Health continues to be the largest healthcare event in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region. More than 4,000 exhibitors and 50,000 visitors are expected at the trade show.
“We are excited about this invaluable opportunity to showcase these Colorado companies in the bioscience and healthcare space,” said Katie Woslager, senior manager of Advanced Industries at OEDIT. “Arab Health will allow these companies to present to more than 500,000 healthcare professionals.”
Many of the companies participating in this trade show took advantage of the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP). These STEP grants help small businesses expand internationally by funding business development activities and offseting associated costs. Participating Colorado companies include:
Click Medical, located in Steamboat Springs, offers innovative solutions that deliver the instant ability to adjust fit and comfort of prosthetic and orthotic medical devices. Founded in 2016, Fischer Imaging is focused on improving outcomes for cancer patients with advanced imaging. Its proprietary technology doubles the resolution and contrast of today’s mammography using less than half the x-ray dose and removes the need for painful breast compression.
EIR Inc (Heart Hero) is building the lowest-cost, easiest-to-use and most portable AED on the market. More than 360,000 sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) occur outside of the hospital each year. According to the American Heart Association, nearly 70 percent of these SCAs occur at home, out of reach of the lifesaving shock of an AED.
