Click Medical has been chosen as an honoree in the category of Health & Wellness in Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas Awards 2019 for our “Can You Adjust?” educational program.
It all started when we asked ourselves:
“What if we could drastically lower the prosthesis abandonment rate and ensure that more amputees are able to return to an active lifestyle? What if we could save $99M of wasted health care dollars with the simple twist of a dial?”
At Click Medical, we knew we could help save lives by adding adjustability to prosthetics so we created an industry-changing product called RevoFit™.
With RevoFit, prosthetists give their patients the ability to micro-adjust their sockets themselves by simply turning a dial. Today there are some 48K patients using Revofit. They are empowered, active, healthy, and most importantly, happy.
Despite early successes, the prosthetic industry remains rigid and resistant to change. So in 2018, WE adjusted. We met prosthetists where they were and created “Can You Adjust?” – a risk-free education program that walks practitioners through the value proposition of adjustability and teaches them how to successfully build RevoFit into a socket. This education fundamentally changes how prosthetists approach patient care, and over time will help us reach our goal of saving millions of lives and hundreds of millions of dollars.
What’s the big picture?
In the time you have read this, 20 people worldwide have lost a limb are navigating a brand new world full of challenge. What if we can ease their transition back to the life they had? The statistics show we might help save their lives. If we make adjustability the standard of care we can save practitioners an estimated $930 for each patient. Now multiply this impact times the current 30 million amputees in the world…(That’s $28 BILLION). That’s a world-changing idea.
It’s time to adjust.
