He has set up The Active Amputee as a resource page from amputees for amputees. It aims to inform, it aims to inspire, and it aims to engage. Nothing more and nothing less. It‘s as simple as that.
Sign up for his newsletter to make sure you don‘t miss any new articles, get additional information beyond what is published on this site, and learn about upcoming events and opportunities to be active and meet other people affected by limb loss and limb differences.
For September’s episode Bjoern was joined by Click Medical’s Joe Mahon, CP an experienced prosthetist from the United States of America, the inventor of the adjustable socket, and one of the founders of Click Medical.
“Adjustable sockets have been a game changer for many amputees, enabling users to deal with limb volume fluctuation independently and on a day to day basis.” says Bjoern in introducing adjustable sockets.
Join Joe and Bjoern, as they talk about the history of the adjustable socket, push-back from the industry, finally being recognized as one of the standards when it comes to patient care, and about exciting new developments for the wider limb loss and limb difference community.
