WHAT TRUE SUCCESS MEANS
Permanently changing the conversation in the healthcare system for chronic physical conditions. Patient care must be aggressively lead by the patients themselves, from a deep understanding of their own condition. A consistent movement practice is the most essential component of developing a deep understanding of one’s condition, and institutions must orient themselves to foster these types of engaged and active patients.
A few words from Max:
“The key to achieving extraordinary results is learning how to become an extraordinary patient. It requires a patient to become a master of their condition. I have passion around changing the conversation of how healthcare systems managing chronic physical conditions.”
Max’s Story:
The initial traumatic injury that he suffered as a child was over twenty years ago. In 2011, he reached point in his life where he began to see the circumstances of his situation differently than he had in the past. He begin to recognize the very evident reality that the context around his condition was as significant as the injury itself. Through these realizations, he become rejuvenated to revisit all aspects of his injury. A sort of existential second-wind.
