Anyone who experiences an amputation of a limb will at some point be faced with the question “what now is physically possible?”
Max Conserva has taken this question and surpassed limits he imagined for himself as an athlete and a trainer.
When he was just 8 years old, Max was involved in a life changing car accident. At that point, all surgical procedures had been tried, and there were no new physical therapy strategies to implement. At which point, he was basically told to “live with it.”
Taking matters into his own hands, he blazed a trail for himself. He began with forming a new relationship to his leg and seeing it as a source of pride. Then quickly following, he became an expert in his condition, and created solutions where they didn’t exist.
To capture his journey, he launched The Good Leg Project to show what progress looks like in it’s realest form. He is okay with stumbling, for it gives him an opportunity to get back up and try it again.
He has been a user of Click Medical products for a few years, and he says “The biggest thing I’ve really appreciated about the CM products are they provide incredible amount of adjustability and coming from the orthotics/prosthetics world, it is really hard to nail things in the office with your prosthetist and orthotist, so components that are adjustable at high resolutions gives the user a much more expansive experience.”
